Our certificates and memberships

To ensure structure, quality and continuous improvement in our sustainability work, Kredinor is certified, rated and committed through recognised schemes and international frameworks. These provide clear requirements, shared standards and transparent reporting.

Eco-Lighthouse

Kredinor is Eco-Lighthouse certified, which confirms that we have a structured and third-party verified environmental management system. The certification sets specific requirements for areas including energy use, waste, procurement, transport and the working environment, and is followed up through annual reporting and regular recertification. Eco-Lighthouse is considered equivalent to ISO 14001 in Norway and is recognised in the EU/EEA.

EcoVadis

Kredinor is assessed by EcoVadis, an internationally recognised sustainability ratings system. The assessment covers four main areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. EcoVadis gives us an objective assessment of how we compare with other companies, and we actively use it as a tool for improvement in our sustainability work.

UN Global Compact

Kredinor is a member of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative for responsible business. Membership includes a commitment to follow the ten principles within: human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

We report annually on how the principles are followed and integrated into our operations, and we use the UN Global Compact as an overarching framework for responsible business conduct.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared global framework for sustainable development. Kredinor has chosen to prioritise three goals where we have the greatest impact through our core business: Goals 8, 10 and 12.

Goal 8 – Decent work and economic growth

We want to contribute to sustainable economic development and responsible value creation, both internally and across our value chain.

This means that we:

  • Ensure that our payment solutions, services and financial guidance are accessible to everyone.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, adopt sustainable practices and integrate sustainability information into our reporting cycle.
  • Do not work with suppliers, partners or customers that lack transparency or do not support fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
  • Include environmental risk factors when pricing and purchasing debt portfolios.

Goal 10 – Reduced inequalities

As a debt collection company, we have a special responsibility to meet people fairly and with respect.

That is why we are committed to:

  • Treating our customers equally and fairly.
  • Ensuring equal access to our financial education programmes.
  • Not unnecessarily increasing the burden on customers with little or no income or assets.
  • Promoting social, economic and societal inclusion, regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, origin, religion or financial status.
  • Ensuring equal opportunities for all employees, including women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels.

Goal 12 – Responsible consumption and production

We work systematically to create more resource-efficient and sustainable solutions in our own operations and in the delivery of our services.

This means that we:

  • Reduce waste through prevention, reduction, reuse and recycling.
  • Work to increase economic productivity through technological upgrades and innovation.
  • Provide full and productive employment and decent work for all employees, including equal pay for work of equal value.
  • Deliver our services as efficiently as possible to support our customers’ economic growth.
  • Protect labour rights and promote safe and secure working environments.
  • Follow up our suppliers to ensure they comply with our Code of conduct.
